Picture of Cross and Change

Picture of Cross and Change

Finally!!! The third album of FT Island “Cross and Change” that I have been waiting for was out on July 17. I barely just know all the songs from their “Jump up” album and I haven’t even written them in here yet. Anyway, this album is doing very well and has already reached the top position in MNET charts. It’s also moving up in the Cyworld charts as well. Man! Go FT Island!!! They will be on Inkigayo on July 19. I hope somebody will post it on youtube.

You know for sure I am checking out this album. Expect to see some of the songs to show up here really soon. \(^.^)/ In this album, I think they have changed their style a little bit. This is a more upbeat pop/rap style songs than the rock songs that we used to know. I like this new upbeat positive style and it fits their teenage boy band images well. However, I will have to say with hongki’s voice, I’d still like him to sing rock songs because it just fits his voice perfectly. But I guess it’s good for the band to explore different music style as well.

About the boys’ new image on the album…back to the 50’s. Tight pants! Man! What can I say? You either love it or hate it. I personally have no problem with it! (^.^) The hair style…I won’t say I am a big fan of. It seems like they just went on a ride on a convertible. (^.^) But anyway, I still think they look good no matter what! \(^.^)/

바래 is the first singles of this album. It’s an upbeat song and I like it very much. The music video is super cute as well. My other favorites include 빙빙빙 and 결혼해줘 , the next single. I think this album is very different from what other boy bands in Korean is doing and it is a good direction for FT Island to go.

Hi everyone,

It’s time to learn another song. I will try to introduce different artists to give you different flavors from time to time. Since I recently finished watching “Boys Over Flowers”(꽃보다 남자>), this time I have chosen a song from this drama’s OST called “내 머리가 나빠서.” Actually I personally don’t even know the song very well because I have tried it in norebang (Korean name for Karaoke) and I didn’t know how to sing it. But after this lesson, I believe I can do it! (^.^)

This song was sung by SS501 which is a very popular group in Korea. And 김현중 from this group acted in this drama as well. Jan Di from the series to introduce the song for us. Here she is:

Let’s hear the song:

Here is the lyrics:

내 머리는 너무나 나빠서
(Because I am stupid)

(Outside of you, I don’t know anybody)

(You who is looking at another person)

(You have no idea of such feelings)

(Your every day I am not in it)

(Again, in your memories you don’t find me but)

(I am looking only at you)

(Tears keep falling every time)

(Even looking at your back is my happiness)

(Yet, You still don’t know my heart)

(In the end like a person passed by you go)

Chorus
(In those days that I really missed you)

(Those days are very hard to bear and painful days)

(“I love you” spins around in my mouth)

혼자 다시 또 crying for you
(Alone once again crying for you)

혼자 다시 또 missing for you
(Alone once again missing for you)

Baby I love you I’m waiting for you

(In your every day, I am not there)

(Again, in your memories I am not there but)

(I am looking only at you)

(I am making my memories alone)

(Loving you seems like a beautiful wound)

(I still see your beautiful smile)

(I cannot laugh with you)

(The days that I think about you so much)

(My heart is cold in these sad days)

(“I miss you” spins around in my mouth)

혼자 다시 또 crying for you
(Alone once again crying for you)

혼자 다시 또 missing for you
(Alone once again missing for you)

Baby I love you I’m waiting for you

Bye bye never say good bye

(I can’t hold you like this but)

I need you 아무 말도 못해
(I need you I can’t even say anything)

I want you 바래도 다시 바래도
(I want you I wish again I wish)

(The days that I miss you so much)

(Those days are very hard to bear and difficult days)

(“I love you” spins around in my mouth)

혼자 다시 또 crying for you
(Alone once again crying for you)

(In those days that I really missed you)

(My heart is cold in these sad days)

(“I miss you” spins around in my mouth)

혼자 다시 또 crying for you
(Alone once again crying for you)

혼자 다시 또 missing for you
(Alone once again missing for you)

Baby I love you I’m waiting for you

Hi Everyone,

It’s time for another lesson, isn’t it? This time I have chosen one of my favorite songs from FT Island called “첫키스” meaning first kiss. This song is really sweet and I think it’s very well written. It fits the band’s image and is very descriptive of the emotions that someone goes through.

As usual, we will have the band introduce the song:

Let’s listen to the song from FT Island’s live concert:

Here is the lyrics in Hangul:

영화처럼 멋질 수 있을까
(Will it be as exciting as in the movies)

(The first time our lips touch)

(I think tomorrow we will meet again)

(Why my heart is already beating so fast)

(The vibrating heart feels like it’s going to explode)

(I wonder will it be sweet like cotton candy)

(I close my eyes and image)

(By any chance, would that girl be also thinking of the same thing at this very moment ?)

Oh ye~

(I think it’s sweet like sugar)

(why it seems like I can even smell acacia)

(I am worried that I will get completely addicted to that smell)

(But a bigger worry than this that no one would even believe)

(I honestly have not yet kissed anyone before)

(Should I turn my heard like in the movies)

(After our lips touch, how will I breathe?)

(I worry about that too)

(When should I close my eyes?)

(What about my nose?)

(About how long should this go on?)

(How on earth do I know?)

Oh no~

(If it’s sweet like sugar)

(I am going to stay like that for a long time)

(Even if I get completely high off her lips)

(I will stay up the night)

(I am afraid that she does like the inexperienced me)

(Shall I confess in advance)

(Honestly, this is the first time I kiss someone)

(Well I stay up the night worry about that)

(After a long time)

(We finally on a long night gently touched our lips)

Oh ye~

(It’s sweeter than lemon)

(I really can’t even move)

(I am going to freeze as I get high off the happiness)

(Why I am so thankful for this inexperienced girl like it’s my big fortune)

(I promise to you I will forever only kiss you)

(Kiss, I will only do that with you)

This is to express the anticipation of something to happen or afraid that something is going to happen.

In the lyrics, this is used twice.

2. It says “서툰 내가 싫다 할까 봐” means that “I am afraid that she does not like the inexperienced me.

Ok, why don’t you try to make your own sample sentences or leave a comment by using the comment button on top?

If you are fluent in Korean, do you mind telling us what Hong Ki was saying after the song finished?
