Dear readers of Korean through lyrics,

Just want to wish everyone of you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!!! So I decided to post a few videos of FT Island’s Christmas message from past years. Don’t forget they are having their Christmas concert in Taiwan. Can’t wait to hear about it. If anyone of you happens to go, please share with us! 🙂

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Thank you again for not excluding WonBin from the holiday greetings. I love the way he’s hanging on to HongKi in the video. Wish he held tighter so that he couldn’t leave the band. :0( Can’t wait for the meet up. Thanks again for getting me in.

When do you use the following words…don’t they all mean no/don’t?

    아니오 안돼 싫어

From the song 사랑 하지 마요, are they saying don’t, can’t, won’t..? Can you use 싫어 or 아니오 instead?

    다시 다시요
    안돼 안돼요
    바보처럼 혼자 말해요

      Hi Wendy,

Happy New Year to you! Thanks for stopping by here. Of course I won’t forget about Won Bin. 🙂

The meaning of each of the word is as follows:
아니오 basically means it is not
      안돼 means it can’t (be)
      싫어 means I don’t like

      So the lyrcis:
      다시다시요안돼안돼요
(again again it can’t it can’t)

      바보처럼 혼자 말해요
(like a fool, talking to myself)

In this case, I don’t see how you can substitute 안돼 with either 아니오 or 싫어 without changing the meaning.

Please let me know if you are still unclear. 🙂

      Grace

    Words got jumbled

    안돼

    싫어

    아니오
