Hi all,

I am sure some of you would like to know get the song lyrics of FT Island’s new song “Satisfaction” along with a translation of it. Here I finally found it for us.

Lyrics of Satisfaction:
shiawase no imi wo sagashite ita
I was looking for the meaning of the happiness.

dokoka ni aruto omotta
I thought it was somewhere else.

soba ni atta noni
Though it was right here.

mayonaka sugi potsuri potsuri
After midnight, little by little

machi no akari mata kiete ikuyo
the lights in town are turned off again.

yume ga samete nemurenai kono heya mo
Waking up from a dream, this sleepless room is also

mabushii yakei no kakera
a dazzling piece of night.

zujou(or “chijou”) no seiza ni kasanete
Overlaying with the constellations up in the sky,(or “on the ground”)

kimi no egao egakuyo
I draw your smile.

ashita ga kyou eto kawaru maeni
Before tomorrow turns to today,

namida ga ai ni kawatteku
Tears change into love.

shiawase no imi wo sagashite ita
I was looking for the meaning of the happiness.

mienai hoshi miteita
I was looking at a star that I cannot see.

kimi no te wo hanashite wa
Letting go off your hand,

ai no imi wo shirazu ni sagashite itanda
I was looking for love without knowing its meaning.

soba ni atta noni
Though it was right here.

hoho wo naderu yoru no kaze wa
The night wind that passes over my cheek,

chikyu ga mawatteru akashi nandarou
it might be a proof of the earth rotating.

ugokidaseba kazamuki ga kawaru koto
If you get moving, things change. (like the wind changes its direction)

oshiete kureteru no kana
Is the wind telling me that ?

shiawase no imi wo sagashiteita
I was looking for the meaning of the happiness.

yume no shima wo mezashite
Heading for a dream island.

ate no nai tabi shite wa
Traveling with no clue.

ashita no kaze ni hukare
Being blown by tomorrow’s wind,

nagasarete itanda toki no namima de
I was swayed in between the time flow.

nani wo tenishite
By getting what thing,

nani wo nakushita
what did I lose?

nani wo seotte
By carrying what thing,

nani wo otoshita
what did I drop?

daiji na mono hodo arihurete ite
Because important things are everywhere,

kizukenai mama
I cannot realize it.

shiawase no imi wo sagashite ita
I was looking for the meaning of the happiness.

dokoka ni aru to omotta
I thought it was somewhere else.

jibun dake wo shinjite wa
Believing only myself,

ai no imi wo shirazu ni sagashite itanda
I was looking for love without knowing its meaning.

soba ni atta noni
Though it was right here.

yoru wo koete
Passing over the night,

aini ikitai
I want to go see you.

There you go!  Finally, we could sing along and understand the song “Satisfaction!”  I hope you enjoyed this!

    thanks for the lyric! ^^
what do you think about the song? =]

    • mwgrace says:

Long time no see!! How are you, natsukichere? It’s nice to see you here!

I like the new song!!! It’s upbeat and I actually like Jaejin’s singing too! What do you think?

      • natsukichere says:

Sorry I didn’t reply this earlier. I’m doing fine. I’m currently in my exam week. ^^

I like the song too, but somehow, the music sounds too much like an anime song (it’s chosen as an ending song for an anime entitled Toriko). Plus, I think I would like it better if Seung Hyun sings more (he is the second vocalist, right?)

    Hi Grace

Thanks for the lyrics! I was also searching for it to understand the song more fully cos there are some parts that are hard to catch by just listening. So glad you found it and posted it here.

I LOVE the song! It’s so catchy and makes you want to sing along. HongKi’s voice is fantastic as usual, and Jaejin and SeungHyun sound really good too! And the MV is fun to watch! They all look so handsome!

      Hi Janie,

I was hoping that you could do the translation but since I found it, so it’s all good. I guess if you can’t hear it clearly, it’s because of Hongki’s accent. ha ha…

I like the song too. Hong Ki is great as usual and I like Jaejin’s singing too. All guys are cute as usual!! :-)

      Grace

      • Janie says:

haha but it’s not Hongki’s fault. All of them have good pronunciation when singing. It’s my Japanese that’s not so good. :( Much easier to understand the whole song when I can see the Japanese lyrics. I’m glad you didn’t wait for me. Would have taken some time :) But I do enjoy translating. It helps me practise Japanese and keeps me from getting too rusty.

The lyrics are nice, quite meaningful. I can’t wait for the album!

    Hi Grace

I just realised they have many lovely songs in the So Long Au Revoir album. I’ve been listening to them on YouTube. My favourite is Winter’s Night. The melody is beautiful and the Japanese lyrics are so meaningful too. It’s about wanting to say thank you to someone who’s been supporting them all along. (That’s us, isn’t it? :)) Wish I could get my hands on the album but I can’t find it here. Sigh. I could listen to their songs all day long……..

Which is your favourite Japanese song by FT Island?

    Janie

    • mwgrace says:

      Hi Janie,

Actually, the first song that comes to my mind is “Flower Rock.” I like it being upbeat. Honestly, I don’t listen to their Japanese albums as much because I don’t understand them. But I do listen to the Flower Rock album so that’s why I am more familiar with that album. :-)

I am sure you like the Japanese albums ’cause you can understand them. That’s great! I like their songs which always can paint us beautiful pictures and with great meanings. We are great primadonnas that keep supporting them! YES! (^.^)

  4. Janie says:

    Hey Grace,

I just read more about the album So Long Au Revoir on the official Japanese website.

SeungHyun was involved in writing the lyrics for Winter’s Night, which makes me like it even more! And it was written to thank their fans!! You must listen to it! It’s really nice and I’m sure you can understand one Japanese word in there.
It’s sung by Jaejin and Hongki. In some parts, JJ sings the main and HK sings the seconds, which is quite unusual cos it’s normally the other way round.

If you have time, listen to it on Youtube, and if you want, I can translate it for you. Someone posted the Japanese lyrics as well, so I can translate it very quickly. Hope you’ll enjoy the song as much as I do!

    Janie
